Hunar Se Rozgar (Skill Development)

RIT Foundation collaborates with various governmental schemes on skill development programs. Key to these programs is the fact that these are not aimed at mere training, but employability and employment. So, the programs often involve tie-ups between the Foundation and different companies within the concerned industry for both training as well as placements. The training is focused on soft skills as well as trade specific skills and knowledge.

We are working with the Ministry of Skill Development, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Ministry of Minority Affairs. We have been involved in the RSLDC and UPSDM. We are registered, non-funded partners of the National Skill Development Corporation, which is an independent body under the Government of India. Our courses have been approved by the National Council for Vocational Training, which is a government body, and they certify our students.

In addition, we are affiliated with various Sector Skill Councils, which are semigovernmental bodies responsible for creating an ecosystem within different sectors. The Sector Skill Councils we are affiliated with include the Furniture and Fittings Skill Council; Apparel, Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council; Agriculture Skill Council of India; Automotive Skills Development Council; Telecom Sector Skill Council; Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India; and the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council. We have had corporate tie-ups with Maruti, Sabka Bazar, Café Coffee Day, and KFC.

Through our centres spread over huge part of India, including the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha,
Rajasthan, Delhi,Punjab and Chhattisgarh, we have trained over 10,000 young people over the past three years. Currently, we are in the process of setting up centers in Haryana.

We also try to arrange for a loan of some sort for those interested in being self employed, in addition to placement opportunities for the rest. All students undergo soft skills training. We are in the process of developing a system which would allow us to stay in constant touch with the candidate for three to six months after the conclusion of their training, so we may help them through any teething troubles in their job or enterprise.
