Nazuk Phool (for the Especially Abled)

Through this wing, the RIT Foundation works with differently abled children, their parents, and their teachers. We have organized various workshops for parents whose children are differently abled, as well as talent shows for them as well as symposia which bring together academics, parents, psychologists, and teachers. Apart from training, time to time, Rit Provides hearing aids, walking sticks, wheel chairs to deserving people.

  • Further, the Foundation regularly sponsors hearing aids and other such devices for those children who might need them, as well as their therapy. Rit provides state of the art, new generation, electronic hearing aids to deserving kids from underprivileged section of society for free of cost. We stay with beneficiaries from the stage of audiometry to retuning and maintenance of hearing aids.
  • We had run a drive with collaboration of Chuckle kids, a chain of nurseryschools, where our volunteers visited quarterly and assessed the progress of mild to moderate mentally challenged children and counselled their teachers, caregivers and parents.
  • RIT Foundation organised workshop on “How to be special for yourspecial child” (How to Cope) for four consecutive years 2015,16,17 and
    18. There were 50 visitors who attended the workshop. Dr. Kanika Soni, Malini Srivastav and Dr K P Narang were our main speaker who not only
guided the audience – How to understand special children more deeply but also have a questionnaire round. It was a friendly entertaining discussion. We also provided participation certificate for the students in the workshop as a portfolio.
  • We organize a talent show in collaboration of Chubby Baby Nursery Schools every year where special children share the stage with other children and show their talent in performing arts and get applause and gifts. Every year in the last Saturday of June, at Lok Kala Manch, these children give their performances. Eminent persons from different fields come to witness the program and encourage special children. Idea of this program is to give especially abled kids encouragement and happiness.
  • Rit launched series of annual workshops for the parents of the children with special needs. Several schemes and programs are run for those kids, but the person who suffers equally and always ignored is the mother/father of those children. Raising such child drains parent emotionally, psychologically, and financially. Prominent psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists, finance advisors come and try to enable those parents so that they can cope with their situation in better way. In 2012 first workshop was organised. For which, we brought in Ms. Shefali, psychology department at University of Delhi; Dr Malini Srivastava, clinical psychologist at HIHT; Dr Prashant Tripathi, HOD Sociology at, Kanpur University; Mr. Manish Pandey, speech therapist etc. We organise these workshops every year in the month of October till 2018.
